Throughout COVID-19, Holt Construction has been working with its clients to provide innovative solutions for travelers across airports throughout the United States.

Holt Construction, in collaboration with XpresSpa, is building XpresCheck COVID-19 Testing Sites at various airport locations. Additional locations are coming soon.

XpresCheck offers PCR COVID-19 tests, rapid tests, and antibody testing. Other services offered are rapid flu and mononucleosis tests, as well as flu shots. XpresCheck will make traveling a comfortable and safe experience, despite the COVID-19 pandemic.

Fast Track, Design Build, Modular Installations

Holt’s Project Executives across regional Business Units collaborate to ensure continuity of the build and seamless project delivery to ensure the client’s expectations are anticipated and met.

Building in high traffic areas with tight deadline requires extensive coordination and communication with multiple stakeholders, including airport authorities, security, subcontractors, and tenant management as well as the TSA. Organic to Holt’s constructability approach is its collaborative building process that considers the stakeholders and ensures extensive coordination and communication to produce these installations on schedule and on budget.

‘We are excited to be working with Holt. They are responsive and solutions driven. Also, their collaborative approach facilitates excellent working relationships with our team, airport management, as well as with local authorities,” said Iga Wyrzykowski, director of store design and construction at XpresCheck.

Use of local workforce for each site is also part of the process. “For each of our projects, Holt is achieving 30 percent or more utilization of MWBE or local workforce,” explained Mark Phillips, Holt’s director of construction, aviation.

“Holt is proud to support the construction of these new testing centers and to be building with XpresCheck nationally," added Chris Asaro, Holt's president.
