The Rogue Valley International – Medford Airport (MFR) saw more than 1 million passengers pass through its doors last year, and has again recorded its highest month of passenger traffic in history! That makes back to back historic record breaking months.

June ended with the highest number of passengers ever with a total count of 107,241. Month-to-month, June 2019 surpassed last year’s 99,721 by over 7 percent. Now July has surpassed even that record bringing 109,427 passengers through the terminal at MFR. The Airport’s numbers continue to climb as traffic is up almost 8.5 percent year to date.

This is an exciting time for Southern Oregon and the local economy. We are seeing more and more people who want to live, work and play in this beautiful place.

“We are absolutely delighted with the numbers we have been seeing. As more people see the benefits of moving to our community, we are making every effort to meet the growing demand. We have recently engaged a consultant to help us develop a Master Plan which, in turn, will provide us with pathways to accommodate the developing capacity restraints while maintaining that small airport, hometown appeal.” Jerry Brienza, airport director.
