Norfolk International Airport Reports on February 2019 Activity

Norfolk International Airport reported a 10.33 percent increase in passenger activity for the month of February 2019 with 241,720 passengers, representing the second highest February passenger volume in the Airport’s history.

Norfolk International Airport (ORF) reported a 10.33 percent increase in passenger activity for the month of February 2019 with 241,720 passengers, representing the second highest February passenger volume in the Airport’s history. This figure compares to a February 2018 passenger count of 219,087. January to February 2019 total passenger count has increased 13.58 percent representing 501,775 passengers versus 441,772 passengers during the same period in 2018.

In other activity, 4,919,309 pounds of cargo were shipped in and out of the airport during February 2019. This represents a 4.06 percent decrease versus February 2018, which saw 5,127,273 pounds of cargo shipped. January to February 2019 cargo pounds shipped has increased 6.19 percent representing 10,436,888 cargo pounds versus 9,828,390 cargo pounds during the same period in 2018.

The above-mentioned figures are a reflection of the service by scheduled airlines Allegiant, American, Delta, Frontier, Southwest, United and their regional airline partners and charter airlines Miami Air, Sun Country, Swift Air and XTRAirways. Cargo carriers include Federal Express, Mountain Air Cargo and UPS.
