Frontier Airlines Expands at CLE

Aug. 13, 2018

Frontier Airlines is expanding its service between Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE) and three new cities, starting this winter. The addition of these destinations means the airline will serve 15 cities non-stop from CLE.

The new cities from Cleveland include the following destinations: Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, Sarasota, Fla. and West Palm Beach, Fla. Frontier will be the only airline offering non-stop service on all of these routes. The carrier will operate the new flights with the Airbus A320 family of aircraft.

“The response from the Cleveland and northern Ohio community to our Low Fares Done Right mission has been tremendous,” said Daniel Shurz, senior vice president, commercial of Frontier Airlines. “With this winter’s schedule, we will offer a great range of warm-weather destinations to customers from Cleveland.”

Frontier is focused on more than low fares. The carrier offers customers the ability to customize their travel to their needs and budget. For example, customers can purchase options a la carte or in one low-priced bundle called the WORKSsm. This bundle includes refundability, a carry-on bag, a checked bag, the best available seat, waived change fees and priority boarding. The Works is only available at flyfrontier.com.

“Frontier Airlines has shown their commitment to Northeast Ohio over the last few years,” said Cleveland Mayor Frank G. Jackson. “We congratulate Frontier on their announcement of service to new destinations for passengers travelling to and from Cleveland Hopkins International Airport.”

“Frontier has been such a strong partner for the airport over the last few years,” said Airport Director Robert Kennedy. “We look forward to continuing to grow with them and offer new markets for our guests.”
