Frontier Airlines has announced that it will begin non-stop service between Albany International Airport (ALB) and Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) at Fort Myers, Florida beginning on Nov. 17.
Frontier service will include two weekly flights to Fort Myers. Flights will depart Albany on Wednesday and Saturday at 3:37 p.m. and arrive in Fort Myers at 6:57 p.m. Return flights will depart Fort Myers on Wednesday and Saturday at 11:14 a.m and arrive in Albany at 2:47 p.m.
"The announcement by Frontier Airlines will come as welcomed news to the hundreds of Upstate New York families that frequently vacation on Florida's popular west coast along with "snowbirds" that seek comfortable weather during winter months," said Rev. Kenneth Doyle, Chairman of the Albany County Airport Authority.
Frontier Airlines recently announced that it will begin non-stop service between Albany and Denver as well as Albany and Orlando. Denver service begins on September 17th. Frontier service to Orlando will begin on Oct. 2.
