Jacobsen|Daniels (J|D) is pleased to have Liz Phipps join the team as director of financial planning & analysis (FP&A) with over 15 years of aviation experience. During her 10 years with Alaska Airlines, Phipps led teams in a variety of divisions including network planning, financial planning & analysis, and corporate real estate. Phipps has provided strategic planning, program management and operations analysis for aviation clients throughout the United States. Her focus on financial and data analytics improves the services J|D offers to their airline and airport clients.

“I am extremely excited to have Phipps join the J|D Airline Services Team,” said Mike Hanlon, vice president of the airline services practice area. “Her airline background and data analysis skills allow us to provide even greater service to our airline and airport clients and to improve their journey in new and meaningful ways.”

Since joining, Phipps has supported Los Angeles World Airports’ multi-million-dollar infrastructure investment decisions by creating long-term parking demand forecast models. She also helped facilitate airline and concessionaire workshops to develop an employee parking plan during construction periods at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). In addition, Phipps worked with a national airport parking provider to evaluate the impact of transportation network companies (TNCs) on airport parking demand and outlined strategic planning options for various future scenarios related to autonomous vehicles (AV) and the potential challenges and opportunities for the client. Currently at Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD), Phipps is helping analyze the new airline rates and charges in comparison to the prior rates and charges methodology and providing overall financial planning support to J|D’s airline clients at ORD.

Phipps holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering/Management Science & Engineering from Stanford University.
