Diane Terrill has been named deputy executive director for Naples Airport Authority. Terrill will support the executive director in the overall direction and management of the authority.
“After undergoing a national recruiting process which attracted applicants from coast to coast, we were grateful to find the best candidate close to home,” shares Chris Rozansky, executive director of Naples Airport Authority. “Diane has the right combination of experience, concern for the community and passion for the vision of our organization that made her selection clear.”
A graduate of Leadership Collier, Terrill most recently served as senior director of strategy and communication for Naples Airport Authority, overseeing the noise compatibility program, among other responsibilities. Since joining Naples Airport Authority in 2014, Terrill has served in leadership positions for numerous industry associations, including Florida Airports Council’s Noise Abatement & Community Affairs Committee. She brings more than 27 years of aviation management experience to the position.
Naples Airport is home to flight schools, air charter operators, car rental agencies and corporate aviation and non aviation businesses, as well as fire/rescue services, mosquito control, the Collier County Sheriff’s Aviation Unit and other community services. During the 2016-17 fiscal year, the airport accommodated 95,018 takeoffs and landings.
All funds used for the airport’s operation, maintenance and improvements are generated from activities at the airport or federal and state grants from aviation-related user fees; the airport receives no property tax dollars. The Florida Department of Transportation values the airport’s annual economic impact to the community at $283.5 million.
