Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele announced that Delta Air Lines had a successful launch Dec. 21, of its new daily nonstop flight between Milwaukee County’s General Mitchell International Airport (MKE) and Salt Lake City International Airport.
Delta and MKE hosted a launch celebration in the gate area, where each departing passenger received a gift bag filled with special items including hot chocolate and salt water taffy.
“We are excited to welcome Delta’s 10th nonstop destinations from MKE. I am positive that Salt Lake City will be an excellent route for Delta from Milwaukee,” Abele said. “Connectivity to Delta’s hub at Salt Lake opens up convenient connections to a variety of markets throughout the western United States.”
The new flights are operated with 76-seat WiFi-equipped Canadair CRJ-900 aircraft featuring First Class, Delta Comfort, and Main Cabin seating. Delta SkyClub members and other eligible travelers can also access the Delta SkyClub on Concourse D.
Delta is the second largest carrier at MKE, with nonstop service from Milwaukee to Atlanta, Boston, Cancun, Cincinnati, Detroit, Minneapolis-St. Paul, New York LaGuardia, Orlando, Salt Lake City and Seattle. Tickets for all routes are available for purchase at delta.com.
