Spokane International Airport announced Aug. 1, that Southwest Airlines launched new daily year round nonstop service to Sacramento International Airport. The flight was operated with a 143-seat Boeing 737-700 aircraft. In addition to service to the California capitol city and wine country, the flight provides convenient connecting service to Southern California destinations including Ontario, Burbank, Los Angeles, Long Beach, Orange County, and San Diego, as well as, Las Vegas and Phoenix.
Collins Sprague, chairman, Spokane Airport Board stated, “Nonstop service to Sacramento was among our highest strategic air service development priorities. There is a very strong relationship between the Spokane/Coeur d’Alene region and California. The initiation of today’s new nonstop service to Sacramento will provide improved flight connections to these important business and leisure destinations and will save considerable travel time. Southwest’s eight nonstop flights are the most offered by any airline serving our region and the connectivity that they offer into their network is critical to supporting continued growth of our regional economy,” concluded Sprague.
In addition to Sacramento, Southwest provides daily, year round nonstop service to Boise, Oakland, Denver, Phoenix, and Las Vegas, as well as, summer seasonal service to Chicago Midway and San Diego. The Spokane-Sacramento flight schedule is as follows:
- 9:05 a.m. Southwest No. 6555 departs Sacramento and Arrives Spokane at 10:45 a.m.
- 11:25 a.m. Southwest No. 507 departs Spokane and Arrives Sacramento at 1:20 p.m.
