Punta Gorda Airport Passenger Traffic up for 44th Consecutive Month

The Charlotte County Airport Authority announces the total passenger count for the twelve months ending June 30, is 1,228,483. The Punta Gorda Airport passenger count for June 2017 was 108,502. This is a 10.23 percent increase in passenger traffic for June 2017 compared with June 2016 (98,430) passengers.

In June, there were 53,789 boarding passengers and 54,713 arriving passengers. This is the 44th consecutive month the Punta Gorda Airport has seen an increase in passenger traffic in year over year monthly traffic. There was a total of 381 Allegiant Airline flights that landed at the Punta Gorda Airport in June.

Robert Hancik, Charlotte County Airport Authority Commissioner stated, “I keep expecting airlines passenger boarding will stabilize; however, month after month we see double digit growth. Allegiant’s continued market expansion into new destinations stimulates our continuing passenger increases - an envious position for our community to be experiencing.”
