Lyft Marks Six-Month Anniversary at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport
Just prior to the busy holiday travel season last year, the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport Authority amended its Rules and Regulations to allow ride-sharing companies to pick-up and drop-off passengers at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport. Popular ride-sharing company Lyft quickly entered into an agreement with the authority and began providing service to Mesa’s growing airport. Lyft’s first six-months of operation have been a tremendous success.
“We aim to be Just Plane Easy from roadway to runway,” said J. Brian O’Neill, A.A.E., Executive Director/CEO of the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport Authority. “Our customers are accustomed to using ride-sharing services when they travel and we felt it was important to provide those services at Gateway Airport. We strive to always exceed customer expectations.”
To celebrate this milestone, Lyft is offering passengers $5 off 2 rides to and from Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport during the month of June using the code PMGAIRPORT.
Lyft passengers are picked up from a designated area in front of the baggage claim terminal. Ride-sharing competitor Uber is not currently licensed to operate at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport.
