Norfolk International Airport reports on December 2016 activity

Norfolk International Airport (ORF) reported a 3.83 percent increase in passenger activity for the month of December with 260,997 passengers. This figure compares to a December 2015 passenger count of 251,379. December marks the 19th consecutive month of year-over-year growth at ORF. For the January - December period, passenger activity has increased 5.76 percent versus the corresponding period in 2015.

In other activity, 5,977,637 pounds of cargo were shipped in and out of the airport during December. This represents a 2.04 percent decrease versus December 2015, which saw 6,102,220 pounds of cargo shipped. For the January - December 2016 period, cargo activity has increased 9.09 percent versus the corresponding period in 2015.

The above-mentioned figures are a reflection of the service by the following scheduled airlines: American, Delta, Southwest, United and their regional airline partners. All-cargo carriers include FedEx, UPS and Mountain Air Cargo.
