TN: Allegiant Flights to Los Angeles, Phoenix and Destin-Ft. Walton to Return for Summer

Dec. 14, 2016

Allegiant has announced the return of its seasonal flights between Memphis International Airport (MEM) and Destin-Ft. Walton Beach Airport (VPS), Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), and Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport (AZA).

The Destin-Ft. Walton flights will resume on May 18, while the Phoenix flights will return on May 19. The Los Angeles flights will resume on June 1. Each of these services will run twice weekly and tickets are now on sale.

Allegiant also announced that it will seasonally suspend its flight between Memphis and Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) in January.

The summer additions will bring MEM’s total number of destinations to 37.

Allegiant now offers nonstop service to eight destinations at MEM, including Austin, Las Vegas, Orlando/Sanford, St. Pete-Clearwater and Fort Lauderdale. Allegiant began operations at MEM in May 2015.

“We are excited to see the return of two more options to the Western U.S., as well as a popular vacation destination in Destin-Ft. Walton,” said Pace Cooper, chairman of the board of commissioners for the Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority. “All three of these routes were popular among our passengers last year, so this is great news for summer travelers.”
