The Port of Portland invites all to enjoy a day of family-friendly fun at the 16th annual Hillsboro Airport Air Fair. This aviation themed fair is from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Oct. 22.
The free event, open to all ages, offers an opportunity to take a behind-the-scenes tour of the airport, test flying skills on a flight simulator, and see aircraft up-close. Fairgoers can enter to win a free scenic flight as well as a prize for the kids. Delicious comfort food will be provided from Retrolicious.
Attendees can learn how Hillsboro Airport, established in 1928, plays a critical role in meeting the aviation needs of the community and supports the local economy. Owned and operated by the Port, the airport offers business and recreational flying, flight training, aircraft maintenance, air ambulance service, and aircraft fueling and storage.
