Breeze Airways Announces New Routes from New Orleans to Myrtle Beach and Savannah
May 7—Breeze Airways said Wednesday that it will start a new route from New Orleans to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina from early September this year.
The budget airline also said that it would be resuming a route from the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International airport to Savannah, Georgia in September.
Breeze Airways, which launched four years ago, is a low-cost airline that specializes in routes to and from tourist destinations that are typically not operated by other airlines.
New Orleans is one of Breeze's four hubs.
New routes
Breeze now has about two dozen route options from MSY, though it has changed those offerings over the four years, adding some and canceling others. Some are operated at regular weekly intervals and others are seasonal.
The company said Wednesday that the Myrtle Beach flights will start on Sept. 4 and operate on Thursdays and Sundays, starting from $59 one-way. The Savannah, Georgia route will resume on Sept. 5 and operate on Mondays and Fridays, starting from $49 one-way.
"We are thrilled to welcome Breeze Airways' new nonstop service to Myrtle Beach and the return of service to Savannah from Louis Armstrong International Airport," said Kevin Dolliole, Director of Aviation. "These affordable routes provide our community with convenient access to two popular coastal destinations in the Southeast. Breeze's continued expansion at our Airport demonstrates their commitment to the New Orleans market."
