Iran Records Increase in Cargo Transportation Via Bushehr International Airport

Dec. 6—The volume of cargo transported through the Bushehr International Airport in the Bushehr Province (southern Iran) increased by 22 percent, during the first seven months of the current Iranian year ( March 21 through October 22, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, as was reflected in the statistics of Iran Airports and Air Navigation Company (IAC), Trend reports.

According to the statistics, 1,666 tons of cargo were transported through the airport in 7 months. Meanwhile, in the same period last Iranian year, the figure stood at 1,369.

A total of 2,416 passenger planes took off and landed at the Bushehr International Airport for seven months, which is an increase of 31 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year. In the same period last Iranian year, the figure amounted to 1,846.

"Furthermore, 185,435 passengers were transported via Bushehr airport within the mentioned period. Passenger transportation increased by 12 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year.
