MI: Consultant Pleads Guilty to Covering Up $1.5M Airport Contractor Scheme

A consultant pleaded guilty to covering up an Oakland County businessman's efforts to defraud the Wayne County Airport Authority of more than $1.5 million in 2012 and 2013.

Paul Hurley, 52, of Washington Township advised a contractor accused of charging the airport authority for de-icing material that was never actually applied at the Detroit Metropolitan Airport's Blue Deck, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office of the U.S. District Court of Eastern Michigan.
