TX: Victoria Airport Wants to Buy 2 Cars for Its Customers

About a month after commissioners put the brakes on a proposal to buy two new cars for clients at the Victoria Regional Airport’s jet center, airport officials are again asking for the county’s permission to buy vehicles.

Earlier this spring, airport officials asked to spend about $39,000 to replace two of six cars that the airport currently allows clients flying into Victoria to use once they arrive. But some county commissioners balked at the plan and instead directed the airport’s manager to first get an official recommendation from the airport’s board and explore buying used cars instead.
