VA: Judge Sides With Newport News Airport in Dispute With Restaurant Company

A Circuit Court judge sided with the Peninsula Airport Commission on Thursday in a dispute with its former restaurant provider, declining to reverse another judge's earlier ruling that the board could legally terminate the restaurant company's lease.

In early October, the commission voted to kick the Hampton restaurant company, New Dominion Clubs, out of the airport. In February, Circuit Judge Gary A. Mills ruled that the board was legally permitted to do so. But New Dominion filed a motion for reconsideration, asking that Mills' decision be set aside on account of newly discovered evidence.
