HDR’s latest Experts Talk Interview introduces Ippoliti, autonomous & connected vehicle project manager and the fifth HDR automated, connected, electric and shared vehicles expert to be interviewed for the ongoing series.
Ippoliti addresses the electrification of transportation, making a strong case for how electric vehicles will fundamentally alter the way our transportation systems operate, and also citing the impact of intersecting EV and automated, connected and shared technologies. Ippoliti’s background includes serving as head of market research for Volvo Cars in North America, and contributing to the creation of Volvo’s Safety Concept Car and Volvo’s award-winning XC60 small SUV. He recently played a role in the United States Army’s successful truck platooning demonstration of military and civilian trucks across the Blue Water Bridge linking the U.S. and Canada. Previously he managed a program funded by the California Energy Commission to build and test prototype zero-emission trucks for CALSTART, a clean-transportation industry organization.
