Management Team Promotion Announced at The Austin Company

The Austin Company announces the promotion of Julia Carroll, AIA, to Engineering Manager of the Company’s Western Operations engineering team.

The Austin Company, a leading full-service design-build and site location firm, announces the promotion of Julia Carroll, AIA, to Engineering Manager of the Company’s Western Operations engineering team. In this new role, Carroll will lead the Western Operations engineering team and coordinate with other disciplines and departments to achieve project goals.

Carroll joined The Austin Company in 2017 as Chief Architect.

“In a short time-frame, Julia has been able to demonstrate her knowledge and expertise across multiple core industries we serve,” stated William (Bill) Lee, vice president and general manager of Austin’s Western Operations. “We look forward to her leadership and ability to coordinate mulitple departments and disciplines to deliver solutions for our clients,” Lee continued.

Carroll is a graduate of the University of California, Berkley with a Bachelor of Arts degree in architecture. She has over 30 years’ experience and is a Registered Architect in the State of California.

Prior to joining Austin, Carroll worked as a facility engineer for Northrop Grumman; then with a small architecture/engineering firm for 16 years, moving from draftsman to principal architect; and for Ware Malcomb, moving from project architect to studio manager for commercial during her tenure there.

Her project experience includes a variety of facility types, including commercial, governmental and industrial. She has been involved with all aspects of architectural design and development, from preliminary design through preparation of contract documents and construction administration, in addition to project design supervision, monitoring the production process, conducting quality assurance reviews, and the plan check and permitting process.
