Horton Automatics has launched the Door Genius – a powerful intuitive tool designed to change the way that architects specify doors. The user-friendly tool streamlines product selection for the expert as well as the novice, greatly reducing the need for extensive training.
The Door Genius, which can be found at HortonDoors.com, simplifies and guides product selection by narrowing down product options by way of a few key attributes: Building Type, Operation Type, Product Type and Application Requirements.
Once attributes have been selected, Door Genius delivers instant access to modes of installation and sizes, as well as a collection of product specifications (as Word and PDF files), architectural details, drawings and BIM objects for the products that meet the architect’s needs. As the Door Genius narrows down product solutions, the user can can add them to a “My Inquiries” folder and then forward to the Horton Spec Desk as a single request for additional information or a consultation.
Horton has also announced that the Door Genius will soon expand to include a Spec Genius function that will deliver exacting product specifications to meet the architect’s unique requirements. “We take pride in knowing that we are giving architects everything they need to specify automatic entrances all in one place,” says J.
