Passenger Traffic Up 5.8 Percent in January at Baton Rouge Metro Airport

After hitting a seven-year high of 822,425 total passengers in 2019, the Baton Rouge Metro Airport passenger count was up 5.8 percent in January 2020 compared to January 2019. Total January 2020 passenger volume was 61,800 passengers, with 30,452 departing passengers (enplanements) and 31,348 arriving passengers (deplanements).

American carried the most passengers in January with a 37 percent share, followed by Delta at 35 percent and United at 28 percent. United Airlines had the biggest increase in passengers, up 23 percent.

“We are grateful for the ongoing support of our customers, which is allowing us to build on our seven-year high in 2019 with continued passenger growth in 2020,” said Mike Edwards, Baton Rouge Metro Airport Director of Aviation.
