Atlanta Updates: NanoLumens and Infax Partner; New Large Baggage Claim LED Shines in ATL Airport

Aug. 11, 2015

Delta Air Lines has selected NanoLumens® and Infax, Inc. to provide a replacement LED display for its existing large projection-based baggage claim sign in Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

The major American airline is no stranger to the services provided by Infax. “Delta Air Lines was Infax’s first customer in the 1970s,” said Infax President Mike Davis. “We are excited about continuing to strengthen this partnership.”

The new LED display provides real-time baggage claim information to passengers using Infax’s flight information display software, WinFIDS7.0©, and Infax’s digital signage suite, Composer and Engage. The Composer and Engage software suite allows the user to create eye-catching pages utilizing flight information, images, videos and text. The software then allows the user to publish any page to a playlist and schedule the playlist accordingly.

Composer and Engage segments the new Delta display into regions, allowing Delta Air Lines to post promotional graphic advertisements alongside the baggage claim information. The software is able to calculate the amount of display space available based on the quantity of active flights, then automatically selects the appropriate graphic to fit the dedicated area.

The display provided by NanoLumens® is over 30 feet wide by eight feet tall and supports over 16 million colors, making it the first thing a passenger sees when entering the South Terminal baggage claim.
