Lenel has awarded Lenel Factory Certification to Birdi Systems, Inc.’s (BSI), Federated and Integrated Solutions for Credentialing (FISC) software and added FISC to its OpenAccessAlliance Program (OAAP).
FISC integrates tightly with the Lenel OnGuard access control system to centralize and automate airport credentialing, identity, and access profile management. Its integrated platform interfaces with Designated Aviation Channeling (DAC) providers, the TSA, and the FBI for seamless background check processing of Security Threat Assessments (STAs), Criminal History Records Checks (CHRCs), and Rap Back management.
“BSI has successfully completed required factory testing at Lenel to validate the functionality of its interface to OnGuard. This integration powers customers with various software modules such as Biographic & Biometric Data Capture, Automated Security Clearances, Digital Document Upload and Management, Training/Certification Management, Billing, Violations, Assets & Vehicle Management, Badge Creation & Template Management, and Company Management including Signature Capture,” said John Marchioli, OAAP product management, Lenel. “We look forward to their continued involvement in the Lenel OpenAccess Alliance Program.”
BSI has successfully implemented FISC at Los Angeles World Airports, where it reduced credentialing times from as long as four weeks to as little as two days, and most recently at Santa Barbara Municipal Airport (SBA) as part of a complete security system upgrade. FISC is providing SBA with a modern, secure identity management and credentialing solution that not only improves the badging process through automation and eliminating duplicate entries, it also helps SBA be more responsive to its employees, tenants, and associated airport personnel.
FISC is one of several commercially available software packages BSI has developed, including Flight Information in the Cloud, Capital Project Planner, and Airport Security Assessment Tool. “Our team specializes in delivering practical innovation,” BSI president Moninder Birdi said. “FISC is one more example of how BSI responds to client challenges with game-changing solutions."
