AVIXA Partners with the Digital Signage Federation on Education for Trade Shows and Events

Oct. 8, 2020

AVIXA, the Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association, has partnered with the Digital Signage Federation (DSF) to bring digital signage education content to the association’s trade shows and events. AVIXA will announce details later this month on events where the DSF will bring its content.

The Digital Signage Federation is a not-for-profit organization that supports digital signage professionals through education, certification, networking, and additional advocacy.

Digital Signage is one of the fastest-growing AV solutions. It is expected to grow from $31 billion in 2020 to $42.7 billion in 2025, a compound annual growth rate of 7.5%, according to AVIXA’s 2020 AV Industry Outlook and Trends Analysis (IOTA). This is driven by the increasing demand for on-premise and out-of-home communications, especially to support new security and health protocols.

“Partnering with the Digital Signage Federation will enrich AVIXA’s educational programs immensely. The organization provides a wealth of knowledge in this thriving pro AV solution,” said David Labuskes, CTS, CAE, RCDD, CEO of AVIXA. “We’re looking forward to collaborating with the DSF to bring extraordinarily beneficial insight to AV professionals at AVIXA events.”

“AVIXA’s events are an ideal setting for the DSF to bring its educational program — their audiences are full of AV professionals eager to learn about emerging technologies and solutions,” said Brian Gorg, executive director of the Digital Signage Federation. “We have been at the forefront of bringing digital signage expertise across many different platforms for the last decade, and we can’t wait to explore this exciting world with the AVIXA audience.”

The collaboration between AVIXA and the DSF will help bridge the gap created for the digital signage community by the unfortunate news about the dissolution of Exponation, which produced the Digital Signage Expo (DSE). AVIXA and the DSF’s newly formed partnership demonstrates both organizations’ commitments to supporting digital signage professionals and the larger channel serving them.

AVIXA will be extending the options for DSE 2020 exhibitors to use a maximum of 25% of their lost deposits toward an AVIXA event with up to 100% credited across the portfolio of events through the end of 2021. Further, individuals who made advance payments for DSE trade show registration and conferences may apply those deposit dollars as credits toward the InfoComm 2021 education program.

“AVIXA is dedicated to supporting the pro AV industry — especially during hardships,” said Labuskes. “Although we clearly cannot reimburse these lost out-of-pocket monies for DSE exhibitors and registrants, we can certainly offer our platform’s value at a discount to help the industry on its road to recovery.”

Later this month, AVIXA will announce details on the DSF’s programming for future in-person and virtual events.
