ARGUS International Names Bill Yantiss Chief Operating Officer

ARGUS International, Inc. is proud to announce Executive Vice President Bill Yantiss has been appointed Chief Operating Officer, a new position within ARGUS International. Yantiss previously oversaw ARGUS’ PRISM division, a provider of advanced Safety Management Systems solutions.

Yantiss will be responsible for all operational activities within three ARGUS business units – Market Intelligence (MI), Partners and Resources for Operational Safety, LLC (PROS) and Professional Resources In System Management, LLC (PRISM). He will also be responsible for IT support for the three ARGUS software platforms: Aviation Risk Management Online Resource (ARMOR) – a safety and quality management tool, TRAQPak – an aviation intelligence tool, and ARGUS TripCHEQ – a due-diligence tool to validate commercial operator credentials to include flight crew and aircraft.

Bill began his aviation career as a U.S. Air Force T-38 instructor Pilot. During his 20-year military career, he had the opportunity to train pilots in the F-4D/E, F-5E, and F-15 A/B. He served in many leadership capacities that included Aggressor Squadron Pilot, Operational Test & Evaluation Test Pilot, Tactical Air Command F-15 Program Manager, and F-15 Squadron Commander. Yantiss joined United Airlines in 1989 and assumed various staff responsibilities in Flight Standards, Flight Safety, and Quality Assurance-Airline Operations which provided the opportunity to lead implementation of the Flight Operations Quality Assurance (FOQA) data analysis program and three Aviation Safety Action Programs (ASAP). Further, he implemented a United Express audit program and represented the Star Alliance during the development of the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) program that has evolved into the air carrier industry blue ribbon standard. He was selected as Vice President – Corporate Safety, Security, Quality & Environment in 2006.

Yantiss joined ARGUS International in 2009, accepting an assignment as EVP, PRISM, LLC. During the past nine years, Bill has established five independent PRISM divisions that provide each segment of commercial aviation with industry-leading services. He is an IOSA auditor, a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, an Executive Coach, an American Society for Quality ISO 9000 Quality Auditor and Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence.
