Hungry travelers going through Nashville International Airport (BNA) can sit back and enjoy authentic southern fare at the new Bar-B-Cutie SmokeHouse. In its seventh decade, the family-owned business has opened its first airport location in the A/B North Terminal. The new 835-square-foot outpost offers juicy smoked meats prepared on-site by a skilled pit master, delicious country sides, and a full lineup of Nashville brands.

“This has been an exciting, women-owned, hands-on project that we continue to put our hearts into,” remarked Melanie Lopez, operating partner of Bar-B-Cutie SmokeHouse. “Our goal is to delight travelers. Our store decor features the local hickory wood we use to smoke our meats. Our high-energy, friendly team is eager to serve the best Nashville hospitality around. And our delicious food is what has kept Bar-B-Cutie a Nashville favorite for over 70 years.” She added, “We want to wow our guests, so they walk away remembering their outstanding Bar-B-Cutie SmokeHouse experience at BNA and come back for more.”

Bar-B-Cutie’s menu offerings range from local favorites like “The Baron,” a massive two-meat sandwich topped with pork, sausage, jalapeño cheese, and onion rings; panchos; hand stuffed spuds; and traditional picks like pork sandwiches and fried okra. Local brews on tap include “Low and Slow” IPA beer from Mill Creek Brewery.

Fliers can take off feeling good with “Smoke ‘N’ Sweet” Premium Bar-B-Cutie Goo Goo candy, a sweet banana hot caramel chocolate confection. A portion of every sale benefits Angel Flight Mid-Atlantic and Mercy Medical Angels to help patients with medical transportation needs. “By teaming up with area businesses and supporting an excellent charitable air transportation organization, we are working toward a stronger community,” noted Brett McFarland, COO of Bar-B-Cutie SmokeHouse.

“It is an honor to welcome this celebrated family business to BNA,” said Matt Jennings, vice president of Fraport Tennessee. ”Bar-B-Cutie has been a regular stop for world-class BBQ for generations. Now travelers get to enjoy their very own taste of Bar-B-Cutie’s legendary hickory smoked meats, bold flavors, and all the extras right at the airport.”
