HMSHost brings Latin fusion and Starbucks to New England travelers.

Exciting new dining choices are on approach to Bradley International Airport (BDL). Starbucks and La Familia Tacos + Tequila, a Latin fusion restaurant and bar, are planned to open this summer. The upcoming openings are part of a new food and beverage contract awarded to global restaurateur HMSHost, and its Airport Concessions Disadvantaged Business Enterprise partner, James Phillips, IV. The 13-year agreement marks HMSHost’s return to BDL and its entry as the airport’s first new full-service restaurant and bar operator in over 15 years.

“We’re thrilled to partner with the Connecticut Airport Authority to create exceptional new dining experiences for its travelers,” said HMSHost Director of Business Development Tosin Kasali. “Bradley International Airport is at an exciting time for growth and modernization and we’re enhancing the food and beverage choices right alongside with them. With La Familia and Starbucks, it’ll be a new delicious reason to arrive early for your flights.”

“HMSHost is a global brand widely recognized as a leader in creating exceptional dining experiences at airports, and we are extremely pleased to welcome them to the Bradley International Airport family,” said Kevin A. Dillon, A.A.E., executive director of the Connecticut Airport Authority. “The anticipated opening of Starbucks and La Familia marks a major milestone for our passenger experience.  We look forward to our ongoing partnership with HMSHost and to these two exciting additions to our menu of dining options.”

La Familia Tacos + Tequila

La Familia means “the family,” and as the name suggests, the restaurant invites guests to dine as part of the family. Located in Terminal A’s Concourse C, this 1,870 square foot full-service restaurant and bar, brings BDL travelers a true taste of the diverse Latin American culinary culture and regional specialties with a menu of street tacos, tortas, bowls and more. In addition to the Latin fusion cuisine, La Familia boasts an expansive world-class selection of more than 75 tequilas and mezcals that travelers can enjoy in signature cocktails.

La Familia’s unique eye-catching design details are unlike any other airport restaurant. It’s a spot of respite, with soothing blue design elements that pay tribute to the blue agave plant, from which superior tequila is made. In admiration of the bright and spirited Latin culture, vibrant Day of the Dead artwork spills off the menu and onto murals lining the walls.

La Familia has become a traveler favorite in Los Angeles International Airport and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, landing it on “best of” lists from AFAR and Matador Network. This summer, BDL travelers will too enjoy the bright, modern surroundings, along with tequila infused cocktails that lift their spirits and kick off their travels before they even step foot on the plane.

Starbucks

Located in the airport’s Terminal A Food Court, Starbucks brings BDL travelers its signature coffee and beverages, baked goods, sandwiches, snacks, and more throughout the day. This will mark the first Starbucks location inside Bradley International Airport.
