Central Illinois Regional Airport is Getting a New Lounge. And It Has a Waterfall.
BLOOMINGTON — A new public lounge will open Tuesday at Central Illinois Regional Airport, 3201 CIRA Drive.
The lounge, located in the terminal mall, offers seating, charging stations, a waterfall and views. It is located across from the Illinois State Student Art Gallery that opened earlier this year. The lounge is available to passengers and airport guests before entering the secure area.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony for the lounge will begin at 4:15 p.m. Tuesday, just inside the main entry to the terminal.
CIRA deputy marketing manager Fran Strebing said the lounge was designed, built and decorated by Young Architects, P.J. Hoerr and Majestic Interior Design under the direction of TLR Associates, all local companies.
