Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) has named Jeffrey Perry as chief operating officer, tasking him with overseeing all operational functions at one of the nation’s busiest airports.
In the role, Perry will lead efforts focused on operational performance, regulatory compliance and delivering a seamless passenger experience as CLT continues to manage growing traffic volumes and ongoing development.
Perry brings extensive aviation leadership experience, most recently serving as chief operating officer for the Metropolitan Knoxville Airport Authority, where he managed a $40 million annual operating budget and a multimillion-dollar capital improvement program.
He previously spent a decade with the City of Charlotte, including serving as airport operations director, where he led a team of 136 personnel across airside operations, security, safety management systems and public safety functions.
Perry holds a degree in aerospace engineering from Middle Tennessee State University and is a Certified Member of the American Association of Airport Executives.
His return to CLT adds experienced operational leadership as the airport continues to expand its role as a major domestic and international hub.
