The Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority (MNAA) has announced two leadership appointments aimed at strengthening operational coordination and financial oversight as Nashville International Airport (BNA) continues to advance its multibillion-dollar expansion program.

Caleb Douglas has been promoted to director of operations planning and project coordination, while Samantha Hamilton has joined the authority as director of financial planning for capital programs. Airport leadership said the appointments reflect the growing complexity of capital delivery and operational planning as BNA undergoes a major infrastructure expansion.

Douglas will focus on coordinating operational impacts across major development projects tied to the airport’s $3 billion New Horizon expansion plan. In the role, he will work to ensure that construction and capital improvements are delivered while minimizing disruptions to airport operations and maintaining service levels for passengers and airline partners.

Douglas joined MNAA in 2021 as an operations specialist and was promoted through several operational leadership roles, including senior operations specialist and terminal operations supervisor. Most recently, he served as operations construction manager, where he acted as a liaison between airport operations teams and construction project stakeholders.

Prior to joining MNAA, Douglas held operational roles at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. He holds the Accredited Airport Executive (A.A.E.) designation through the American Association of Airport Executives and earned degrees in aerospace management and aviation safety and security management from Middle Tennessee State University.

Hamilton joins MNAA to lead financial planning related to the authority’s capital investment programs. In the role, she will oversee funding strategies, debt modeling, cash flow forecasting, grant management and the Passenger Facility Charge (PFC) program, while also supporting development of the airport’s five-year capital improvement plan.

Her responsibilities will include building financial models and analysis to guide decision-making as the airport authority manages large-scale capital investments tied to long-term infrastructure growth.

Hamilton brings more than a decade of airport capital finance and program management experience from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport. While at DFW, she worked on capital budgeting and financial planning initiatives tied to the airport’s rolling 10-year capital program, which exceeds $10 billion.

She also previously served as a senior airline development specialist at DFW, where she worked with airline partners on capital program planning and stakeholder coordination tied to major terminal development projects.

Hamilton holds the Certified Member (C.M.) designation from the American Association of Airport Executives and Airport Certified Employee (ACE) credentials in finance and Safety Management Systems.

The leadership additions come as Nashville International Airport continues to experience significant passenger growth and ongoing infrastructure investment. The airport’s New Horizon expansion program is designed to expand capacity and modernize facilities to support long-term demand in one of the fastest-growing metropolitan regions in the United States.

MNAA also operates John C. Tune Airport, a general aviation facility that serves as a reliever airport for BNA and supports corporate and private aviation activity in the Nashville region.
