Desert Jet Partners with 4AIR on Sustainability Efforts

Desert Jet has entered into a sustainability partnership with 4AIR, marking a step toward integrating emissions reduction strategies across its fixed base operator (FBO) operations and infrastructure development.

As part of the initiative, the company has offset 43 metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent emissions tied to operations at Desert Jet Center, its primary FBO at Jacqueline Cochran Regional Airport in California.

The partnership aligns with broader efforts to incorporate sustainability into business aviation operations, including the availability of sustainable aviation fuel and plans for carbon-neutral facility operations. Desert Jet said the approach is intended to support continued growth while addressing environmental impact.

The company is also advancing infrastructure projects, including hangar development at Yampa Valley Regional Airport in Colorado and planned ramp and apron expansions in California, with sustainability considerations integrated into those investments.

For airport operators and FBOs, the announcement reflects increasing focus on measurable sustainability actions within general aviation, including carbon offset programs, fuel alternatives and facility-level emissions strategies.
