Tanker Full of Aviation Gasoline Overturns in Front Yard of Upstate Home

Officials said the tanker had just filled up at the Belton tank farm when it ran off the road in a slight curve, hit a ditch and a utility pole and overturned in the front yard of a modular home.

ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. — A gasoline tanker loaded with aviation fuel overturned in Anderson County Tuesday morning in the front yard of someone's home, officials said.

The wreck happened after 7:30 a.m. on Murphy Road south of Big Creek Road, which is one of the main roads between Williamston and Belton.

Officials said the tanker had just filled up at the Belton tank farm when it ran off the road in a slight curve, hit a ditch and a utility pole and overturned in the front yard of a modular home.
