Fort Wayne International Airport will fly solo.

The Fort Wayne-Allen County Airport Authority Board of Directors on Monday approved a resolution to begin providing fixed-base operation services at the travel hub beginning next year.

If all goes as planned, the airport will end its affiliation with present fixed-based operator Atlantic Aviation of Plano, Texas, which provides aircraft fueling, hangar rental, tie-down and parking, and aircraft deicing.
