Aberdeen Airport gets Hangar 9 FBO
Hangar 9 FBO is now working as a fixed base machinist at the Aberdeen Regional Airport. The business offers services to pilots plus flying lessons to the community. It vends fuel, executes aircraft maintenance, performs flight training and provides charter services.
Hangar 9 is handled by Daryl Shook and owned by Drs. Curt Wischmeier and John Bormes of Ophthalmology Associates. One of the objectives of the business is draw young group to flight training, Shook said. There has been a huge turn down in the number of private pilots over the years and younger populace are required to restore those who are retiring, he added. Hangar 9 has offered flight training and additional services for a short time but eligible as a full fixed base operator in early January.
