When Kindra Mahler was in college, her sister was working at the Fargo Jet Center when she informed her about a customer service position opening up at the company. Mahler only knew about commercial aviation, so it was a move outside her comfort zone.
Within a couple of weeks, she remembered her fascination with aviation by working with pilots and airplanes every day.
“The people that I work with are phenomenal,” she said. “I’ve loved the company I’ve worked for. They’ve given me a lot of opportunities that might not have happened anywhere else.”
Mahler joined Fargo Jet Center 11 years ago as a customer service representative. After serving just a couple of years in that position, she was promoted into the marketing department.
Shortly after the transition, the charter department needed her talents to fill the role of charter scheduler. Mahler was up for the challenge and served in the role for nearly 18 months including training in her replacement.
She now serves as marketing manager and back-up/on-call scheduler for Fargo’s charter department.
In 2017, Mahler took on the challenge of designing and launching the new corporate website for Fargo Jet Center, Premier Jet Center and Exclusive Aircraft Sales. She continues to evolve and manage the website using Wordpress and other tools.
In 2018, she coordinated marketing and promotional activities at more than 40 events throughout the U.S., Canada and Europe.
She also serves as the company’s primary internal graphic designer, copywriting and proofing, manages all corporate apparel and manages all of its social media pages including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and Google for each of Fargo’s companies.
At Fargo Jet Center, she has served on the company’s team member appreciation committee helping to plan and run events to celebrate the team.
In the community, Mahler volunteers weekly as a dog walker at a local shelter. She has served for five years on NBAA’s Schedulers and Dispatchers Committee, co-chaired the committee last year and is currently serving as immediate past chair.

Fargo Jet Center
- Alma Mater: North Dakota State University
- Fun fact about yourself: I have volunteered weekly at an animal shelter since 2014.
- Favorite aircraft: WACO Bi-Plane
- Are you a pilot?: Not yet, but look forward to the possibility in the future
- Someone I look up to in the industry: Jo Damato with NBAA; Darren Hall with Fargo Jet Center
- My favorite thing about aviation is: Simply how aviation connects people to places, even in the most remote parts of the world.
- If I could change one thing about the aviation industry: As many companies around the world are already feeling the shortage of pilots and mechanics, among other positions, I would love to see more programs introduced into high schools, more aviation-focused career fairs, and more invitations for the public to visit aviation facilities like our FBO to learn more about what happens in our industry. I know that could have had an impact on my career path earlier on.
“One of the things I love about this industry is it’s a really close-knit family deal.”
