Sarah Moratto has built her career around people, purpose, and community impact. As the Small Business Engagement and Outreach Manager at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and the City of Phoenix Aviation Department, she has transformed how the airport engages with small and minority businesses, helping to expand opportunities and foster inclusive economic growth. With a Master’s in Sustainable Solutions from Arizona State University and nearly a decade of progressive experience in the Aviation Department, she has earned recognition as a thoughtful, forward-looking leader.

Since taking the helm of the Aviation Business Summit, Moratto has reimagined the event into the department’s premier engagement platform, boosting attendance by 65 percent while maintaining exceptionally high satisfaction ratings. She has launched the Aviation Business Education Series to provide year-round outreach, expanded partnerships with minority chambers of commerce, and relaunched business development events such as Fast Pitch and Match Making to create pathways for small businesses to connect with prime concessionaires. Her efforts have led to industry recognition, including the Airport Minority Advisory Council Catalyst Award and the Phoenix Minority Business Development Agency’s Million Dollar Circle of Excellence.

What drives her is the energy of collaboration and the belief that airports are more than just transit hubs—they are gateways for community pride and opportunity. “Every day is different, and every interaction matters,” she said. “I love the chance to bring people together in ways that create lasting benefits for both our airport and our community.”
