Franck Goldnadel, chairman of the Board of Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur, has been chosen to join the European Region of the Airports Council International.

Goldnadel is a member of the Board of Directors of the Union des Aéroports de France (UAF). His vast experience as a manager of both major and regional airports gives him a broad vision of the issues related to air travel, the development of the attractiveness of regions and the decrease in the carbon intensity of aviation operations. His election while presiding over the future of the Aéroports de la Côte d'Azur testifies to the growing role of the airports of Nice, Cannes-Mandelieu and the Golfe of Saint-Tropez in the Single European Sky, its operational fluidity and its security, particularly at a time when the European Commission wishes to implement the EES (Entry / Exit System), which aims to improve the general security measures within the Schengen area borders.

“I am very proud to have been elected to the ACI Europe Board. Alongside my peers, I will work to accelerate the transition to carbon neutrality of our operations as much as possible to prepare our infrastructures for the new challenges of air travel, in order to support the innovation that defines it and which, in the future, will allow for the growing adoption of new fuels, biofuels or electric motorisation. As a laboratory for the airport of the future, Aéroports de la Côte d'Azur has defined a path for the future and is involved in adopting the best practices by other airports to ensure that air travel remains on an ideal trajectory as well as a lever of economic growth for the regions,” said Goldnadel.
