Tricopian Inc., a the innovative FuelRod mobile charging service added Terminal 1 at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) to the growing portfolio of airports offering its unique charge on-the-go service through its FuelRod SwapBox kiosks.

With nearly 60 million passengers annually, JFK is the sixth busiest airport and busiest international air passenger gateway in the U.S. However, finding an available electrical outlet to recharge a mobile device can be frustrating especially when needing to “fuel up” for a long international flight.

Now, travelers can simply go to a FuelRod SwapBox kiosk, purchase a FuelRod Mobile Charge Kit and power up with the included connectors. The kiosks are conveniently located pre-security in Terminal 1 at the food court and near Gates 3, 4 and 5. For those travelers going to Geneva (GVA), they’ll find FuelRod SwapBox kiosks at that airport as well as the adjoining Palexpo convention center and at tri-national Basel EuroAirport.

“We’re very pleased to offer this innovative service here at Terminal 1,” said Manoj Patel, executive director of business development and finance for Terminal One Management Inc. “Our travelers no longer need to tether themselves to a stationary outlet to charge up. They’ll have more time to shop, enjoy our restaurant offerings, and experience all our terminal has to offer all while charging on the go with FuelRod. I’m confident that our travelers – especially our international travelers – will appreciate the convenience of this affordable mobile charging solution.”

“We’re very pleased to add JFK, Terminal 1 as our 26th airport to deploy the FuelRod service here in the United States,” said Tricopian co-founder, Joe Yeagley. “It is our goal to ‘un-plug’ the traveling public, allowing them more freedom to take advantage of all the unique experiences each airport has to offer.”
