Gov. Charlie Baker and other elected officials from Massachusetts plan to attend President Joe Biden’s event at Logan International Airport Monday afternoon, where the president plans to highlight the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.

Biden is on a one-day swing through Boston to highlight infrastructure funding and his administration’s goal to end cancer “as we know it.” The president also plans stops at the John F. Kennedy Library, where he will discuss ending cancer, before heading to a Democratic National Committee reception later in the evening.

The infrastructure speech will take place at Logan Aiport’s Terminal E, according to a schedule released by the White House. The Massachusetts Port Authority is using money from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to make a series of improvements at the terminal, including additions to buildings, new aircraft gates, passenger waiting areas, and food options.

“The President will deliver remarks highlighting how Bipartisan Infrastructure Law projects – like the modernization of Boston Logan International Airport’s Terminal E – are already underway and delivering tangible results for communities across the country,” the White House schedules says of Biden’s speech.

Biden signed the $1 trillion Bipartisan Infrastructure Law in November 2021. The bill includes $9 billion in funding for Massachusetts over five years.

Boston Mayor Michelle Wu also plans to offer remarks ahead of Biden’s speech at Logan Airport. After listening to the president, she will head to the “Cancer Moonshot” speech at the John F. Kennedy Library and Museum in Dorchester.

The speech on cancer takes place on the 60th anniversary of President John F. Kennedy’s “Moonshot” speech, where he pledged to put men on the moon before the decade was over.

Biden’s speech at Logan Aiport is scheduled to start at 12:45 p.m., and the speech at the library is scheduled to start at 4 p.m. The president is scheduled to arrive at the Democratic National Committee reception at 6 p.m. and depart Massachusetts at 7:10 p.m., according to a White House Schedule.
