Kuwait Suspends Flights to, from Its Airport Due to COVID-19 Fears
Dec. 21—CAIRO — Kuwait's civil aviation authority has suspended commercial flights to and from Kuwait International Airport starting Monday, with the ban set to last until the end of Friday, January 1.
The suspension will come into effect as of 11 pm ( 2000 GMT) and is aimed to limit the spread of the coronavirus, the civil aviation directorate said on Twitter on Monday.
On Sunday, Kuwait added Britain to a high-risk list of countries and banned flights from it after the outbreak of a new variant of Covid-19.
