During the summer tourist season, a total of 100 flights were performed in the direction of Georgian Batumi, Mestia, and Ambrolauri, said Georgian Airports Association, Trend reports via Georgian media.

Tbilisi-Batumi flights:

From July 24, flights between Tbilisi and Batumi were operated by Ak Air Georgia with the Embraer E120 type aircraft, which has a maximum number of 30 seats. From July 24 to September 30, a total of 22 flights were operated on the Tbilisi-Batumi airline. During the same period, 842 passengers traveled the said route.

Flights to Natakhtari-Mestia:

Queen Tamar Local Airport in Mestia served a total of 33 flights and 1,122 passengers between July 24 and September 30, 2020. This is a 62 percent decrease in the number of flights compared to the previous year and a 53 percent decrease in terms of passenger flow. It should be noted, however, that the load on each flight is 77 percent in 2020, which is only 2 percent less than in the previous year. It should also be noted that the town of Mestia was closed on August 10 due to a complicated epidemic situation, due to which the flights were suspended from August 10 to September 3.

Ambrolauri Local Airport served a total of 27 flights and 918 passengers between July 24 and September 30, 2020.
