CHARLOTTE, N.C. — As North Carolina's mask mandate takes effect, masks will now be required at Charlotte Douglas International Airport. The airport has come under some scrutiny as photos making the rounds on social media photos show packed terminals and common areas.

Photos show a packed food court and cramped terminals, with not much social distancing visible, and not everyone wearing masks.
