AZ: Benson Airport Troubles Resolved

BENSON – The hiring of a part-time airport coordinator appears to have resolved ongoing concerns about pilot and facility safety at the Benson Municipal Airport. Dave Thompson was hired in November to handle general repairs and maintenance, and serve as a liaison between pilots and the city.

The airport had been the subject of complaints the last few years about safety and security issues. Thompson was one of those who spoke up about critical repairs not being addressed for weeks, even months.
