Chelsie Bush, AIA, NCARB, DBIA, has dedicated more than a decade to designing and managing aviation projects that improve both traveler experience and operational efficiency. As an Associate Studio Leader at RS&H, she has built a career at the intersection of architecture, problem-solving, and leadership. Over her 13-year career — 10 of which have been focused exclusively on aviation — she has helped airports across the country deliver projects that balance design intent, constructability, and long-term functionality.
Bush’s portfolio reflects her breadth of expertise. She has contributed to major projects such as the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority’s South Terminal, concourse expansions at Denver International Airport, a new Police and Maintenance Facility at Tampa International Airport, and specialized facilities like electrical vaults, snow removal equipment buildings, and air traffic control towers in Virginia and Texas. She has earned recognition for her ability to bring stakeholders together, streamline processes, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Her influence extends well beyond her design work. Bush is actively involved in the American Association of Airport Executives, the American Institute of Architects, and the Congress for New Urbanism. She serves on professional committees, mentors emerging talent through RS&H’s Ignite Women’s Professional Network, and advocates for stronger industry collaboration.
Reflecting on her passion for aviation, Bush said, “I love creating spaces that make people’s days a little better. Whether it’s helping travelers have an easier journey or giving airport employees the tools to work more efficiently, every small improvement makes a difference.”
