American Airlines also launched new daily non-stop two-class Boeing 757 service between Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA). Will Ris, American's Senior vice president - Government and Regulatory Affairs, said: "We are thrilled to begin non-stop service between Los Angeles and the Nation's Capital. Reagan National's proximity to federal government offices, national monuments and popular tourist attractions will make American's new flight highly convenient for West Coast customers when flying for business or pleasure. Conversely, D.C.-area residents now have more travel options from both Reagan National and Washington Dulles International Airport to use when traveling to our nation's second-largest city." American Eagle, the regional affiliate of American Airlines, also began daily round-trip jet service between Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD) and the Region of Waterloo International Airport (YKF) in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario. Eagle will operate two flights per day Sunday through Friday between Chicago O'Hare and Kitchener-Waterloo, and one flight on Saturday. Eagle will operate the routes with 50-seat Embraer jets. Charles Schubert, American's vice president - Network Planning, said: "We're delighted to begin service to Kitchener-Waterloo from our hub in Chicago. This schedule will allow customers throughout the Kitchener-Waterloo Region to make a day trip to the Chicago area for business or connect through this key international gateway to destinations throughout the American Airlines and oneworld alliance global network."
