Alaska Airlines launches Portland-Washington DC service

U.S., May 30 -- Alaska Airlines announced today that it will start service between Portland, Ore., and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport in Washington, D.C., on Aug. 28, following government approval of the schedule.

U.S., May 30 -- Alaska Airlines announced today that it will start service between Portland, Ore., and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport in Washington, D.C., on Aug. 28, following government approval of the schedule.

""We are pleased to have received approval to start our service in August and offer residents of the greater Portland area the only nonstop flight to Washington, D.C.'s, close-in airport,"" said Joe Sprague, Alaska Airlines' vice president of marketing.
