The Charlotte County Airport Authority announces inaugural flights of the newest route from Punta Gorda Airport (PGD) to Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) via Allegiant and Sun Country Airlines. PGD staff on Oct. 8 welcomed Sun Country passengers arriving from MSP at 12:28 p.m. and Allegiant passengers arriving from MSP at 2:34 p.m.
Both Allegiant and Sun Country flights are scheduled Mondays and Fridays October through January. During February, March and April both airlines have flights from PGD to MSP on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Both airlines offer different pricing, scheduling and amenities to offer passengers a variety of flexible options to choose from.
“Our community is excited about welcoming new visitors from Minnesota to sunny southwest Florida. Travelers landing at our convenient airport can enjoy an array of outdoor activities surrounding Charlotte Harbor and can explore historic waterfront Punta Gorda to the beautiful Gulf beaches within a 45-minute drive,” said James W. Southwest Floridians traveling to MSP can take advantage of premium shopping, restaurant and entertainment options in the Twin Cities, St. Paul and Richfield.
