Spirit Airlines Resumes Nearly 40 Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood Routes for Summer Travel

June 3, 2020

Spirit Airlines is welcoming back dozens of routes from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) after a temporary service reduction. After serving 13 routes from FLL in May, Florida’s Hometown Airline will offer flights to 32 destinations in June and up to 47 in July as demand for travel returns.

Spirit will also resume flights to Guayaquil, Ecuador on June 3, operating the first commercial flight to Guayaquil since Ecuador’s border closure went into effect in mid-March. This is Spirit’s first scheduled international service to resume, outside of the airline’s continued efforts to repatriate thousands of Americans and others with specially authorized humanitarian flights across the Caribbean and Latin America. Before traveling to international locations, Spirit encourages Guests to perform advance research on country-specific requirements for residents and travelers.
